Join us along the Zumbro River this weekend as we camp at the Peterson Campground near Theilman, MN on the river from Fri 8/21 through Sun 8/23. We'll meet around 11 am. on Saturday 8/22 at the DNR canoe launch in Millville (across the bridge from Millville on the south side of the river and on the east side of Co Rd 2, park along the road and take the path down to the river) for an easy float, around 4 hours, and we'll end at the campground. Peterson Campground is a first come, first serve, and on the honor system for payment. $25/night for tent site up to four people or $40/night for electric site for up to four people, $5 for extra people or a day pass. There is a large beach, fire grates, picnic tables, porta potty, a pavillion, mature trees for shade, and stunning bluff views along the river. Check with the local canoe/kayak outfitters to rent or reach out to Michele by text: 651-564-2204 as she has an extra canoe, solo canoe, and two kayaks to lend out but she will need to know before 3pm on Friday 8/21.
